Challenges of fieldwork in the Global South

On Monday 27 May, Miriam A. Golden, from the European University Institute, will present the seminar Challenges of fieldwork in the Global South.

This seminar will be held on 27 May from 16:00 to 18:00 (GMT +2) in the Salón de Grados of the Faculty of Economics and Business of the UPV/EHU, located in Sarriko (Bilbao), and will be broadcast via streaming.

The activity is organised by the master's degrees in Globalisation and Development and Development and International Cooperation, although it is open to anyone interested in the topic.

Professor Miriam A. Golden holds the Peter Mair Chair in Comparative Politics in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at the European University Institute, and was previously a professor at the University of California at Los Angeles (https://www.miriamgolden.com/).

In the seminar, Professor Miriam A. Golden will address some of the challenges of doing fieldwork in countries in the Global South, where she has worked extensively on issues such as democratisation, governance and clientelism.
